Othón Nolasco and Damian Diaz are Los Angeles activists feeding undocumented restaurant workers. They started this feat at the start of the pandemic when they discovered that undocumented restaurant workers were in a very vulnerable position. These workers were in such a terrible situation – out of employment yet unable to claim unemployment benefits. With help from their team of volunteers, they rallied resources and created a nonprofit organization aimed to feed about 30 families weekly at the time. Now they give out groceries to more than 1,700 families.

A Avó Veio Trabalhar (‘Grandma Came to Work’) is a non-profit organization founded by Portuguese community organizers Susana António and Angelo Campota. This hub provides over 70 grandmothers with a platform to run crafts workshops and sell artisanal products in Lisbon. They are changing the world in a great way by saving many old women from loneliness and isolation in an aging city.

People do not have to take the stress of walking to hospitals all the time as the service can diagnose conditions and prescribe medications effectively. Countries like Rwanda already enjoy this service which keeps on growing every day.
